About Jay

barrows-headshotWelcome to the official website for State Representative Jay Barrows!
“It is an honor to serve the people of Foxboro, Mansfield, and Norton and the Commonwealth. I am proud of my record of service and many accomplishments which directly impact the 1st Bristol District. With my 100% attendance voting record, accessibility,  top notch constituent service, and dedication to initiatives such as supporting small businesses, funding for local communities and education, involvement with several local organizations, and positive, productive relationships with local governments, I remain dedicated to continuing to advocate for the interests of the thousands of individuals and families in my district. I feel that a combination of hard work, dedication, and the ability to take into consideration all viewpoints before making any decisions are critical to success as an effective legislator. I believe in responsible, effective government. We have accomplished much together, but there is still so much more work to do, and many things cannot be fixed overnight. We have only begun to fight an opioid epidemic, and the MBTA crisis is certainly an issue we are taking steps to correct. From protecting children and families to balancing a 39 billion dollar budget to serving and honoring our veterans, we have many issues which are ongoing. Thank you for your time and interest, and I respectfully request your vote on Tuesday, November 8th as I seek re-election to the office of State Representative.” Jay
